A little bit of history...

My name is Chad, and I am a 25 year old web developer from Denver, CO. I took a pretty unorthodox path to find my way into this industry (that I honestly love), but I wouldn't change it if I could. I developed an interest in designing and coding websites at a pretty young age (thanks in no small part to Neopets!). I taught myself the basics of the languages of the web around the age of ten and kept it up through most of my early teen years, however around my senior year of high-school my interests started to shift.

By the time I got to college, I was ready for a change in studies and turned my focus to the liberal arts. I graduated in 2014 with my BA in history - but had absolutely no plan as to what to do with it. I had really enjoyed my time studying at university, but couldn't honestly picture myself using my history degree in any professional capacity. Which was fine by me - nothing wrong with learning just for the sake of learning - but it did present an issue when thinking about what I wanted to do career wise. Remembering my aptitude for web tech as a child, and really just looking for something to do, decided to enroll in some self-guided online classes.

Post graduation, I was still in the position I had worked through most of college, and in an auspicious turn of events, they were looking to completely overhaul their online presence. Given that I was in the middle of my web development training, this was the perfect opportunity to apply what I had been learning outside of a sandbox, and really dig into the minutiae of the web.

Cut to today...

I'm now several years into this field and I'm still in love with what I do, and where I'm heading. The day to day of a web developer always keeps me on my toes with a new problem to tackle, a new UI to design, or a new framework to dig into. JavaScript development has become a real passion of mine. I'm looking forward to the next challenge in my professional life that will hopefully allow me to further my skills as a Full-stack JavaScript developer.

Thanks for taking the time to getting to know me; please feel free to drop a line using any of the social media outlets listed in the contact section.

- Cheers!
